Happy Friday to all of my beautiful friends! I am so happy the weekend is starting and I am sure you all feel the same way! I wanted to talk about some morning motivation on today’s blog because we all hit the struggle bus sometimes when it comes to getting up and being ready to tackle the day as soon as we get out of bed. I wanted to talk about some ways that I like to start my morning to help get myself going and if you have any tips on what helps you, please share them below so we can all gain some motivation from each other.
1.) Start the day with positive vibes. The first thing I always do when I get out of bed is thank God that I am alive to see another day! I always say a prayer to set my intentions for the day and ask God to be with me throughout my day. I feel like starting the day off with gratitude and being appreciative for the fact that you are able to get out of bed and start your day is such a beautiful thing and will definitely change the tone of your day.
2.) Wake up early if possible. I know this probably sounds crazy because who does not want more sleep? But giving yourself extra time to start your morning can help in a lot of ways. One of the main reasons I like to wake up earlier is that it enables me to move at a slower pace and it also gives me more time to wake up! Waking up early also gives me more time to get stuff done while my son is still sleeping before I have to leave for work.
3.) If you have extra time, start you morning off with a quick workout. Yoga is great for the morning and I have just recently started getting into this form of exercise and it really helps to relax you and get you moving in the morning.
4.) Nourish your body! Take the time to eat a breakfast that is healthy and yummy. Starting your day off with a balanced meal will definitely give your body the energy to get going and start your day! It will also help to keep you fueled throughout your morning and prevent that before lunch crash that we all tend to feel at some point.
5.) Treat yourself. If you head to work in the morning, stop and grab yourself a coffee or tea on the way. If you stay home with your kids, make yourself a yummy treat! You need to sneak in some goodies every once in a while! I try to be as healthy as possible, but you have to treat yourself sometimes.
6.) Claim that your day is going to be a positive one! I am a big believer in claiming what you want and speaking it into existence. I realize that not every single day is going to be perfect, but there will always be good things that happen every single day. We can make the most of the moments we have!
I hope this brings you some motivation on your Friday morning. I know these may seem foolish to say out loud, but we all have mornings that are harder to start than others and I try to come up with some type of routine so that I am not always just rushing around to get out the door! Each day is a gift and the way we start our morning out many times sets the tone for the rest of our day.
