Fall Craft Activities

Happy Saturday!! I hope you all have an enjoyable weekend. Today I am sharing some fun, easy fall crafts for moms with littles. I love doing activities with my son on the weekend especially that help him explore his creativity and sharpen some of his motor skills, while having a good time. If you are a mom who has a favorite craft/activity that you like to do with your kids, leave a comment below so all of us can try it out!

I love homemade decorations made by my son. I am totally that mom that puts up whatever he makes, and he honestly gets so excited when his décor is displayed in our house. I was walking through Target last weekend and was walking past the endcaps and found this blank pumpkin made for painting and I had to pick it up because I knew he would have a blast with this. He is super into coloring and markers right now and I just laid an old towel down to protect the table and let him go to town. He had so much fun, and I can’t wait to see what Target gets in for Christmas because I am definitely going to buy another one and let him do the same thing to put up for when we decorate for Christmas. I know this is such an easy craft, but it is something that does not require an elaborate set up and is something your kids will just absolutely love.

My next craft was another fun one that he ended up playing with for quite some time. I can’t take credit for this one, but I started following @montessoridadsway on Instagram and he posts literally the best ideas for fun activities that you can complete with your kids and these activities all help build different skills. This activity required very few items. You can use a plastic bottle of some kind, I just used an old piece of Tupperware, a marker to draw on the ghost, and a bag of cotton bolls. Let your child explore, by using their hands to place the cotton balls in the ghost. My son literally filled it up and emptied it so many times and when he was all finished playing, I added the top of the Tupperware lid and we kept it up as decoration. Chris said this helps build fine motor skills, hand eye coordination, and sensory development.

I plan on sharing many more of my mom activities on here because I love being a mom and I love connecting with other parents. If you are on Instagram, make sure to follow @montessoridadsway to check out all of his amazing ideas that you can use as activity inspo for your kids.
