Happy Mom Monday to all my beautiful friends! I am so excited about these posts because they have turned out to be such a fun part of my week. I hope you guys all enjoy reading them and getting to hear about other fun topics that relate to motherhood! This week I am so excited to have my friend Teresa interviewing with me. Teresa and I have known each other since high school and we recently reconnected again over our love for clean products. I have been wanting to make the switch to using cleaner products before having my son and once I had him it became even more important to me to introduce cleaner products into our lives. I started with the cleaning products that we used around the house and as time went on, I started using cleaner products on my body.
Teresa is an Arbonne consultant and is very knowledgeable when it comes to the product brand and is great at giving different recommendations for all people on cleaner products and healthier ways of living that you can introduce into your lifestyle. I thought it would be fun to have her share a bit about what she does and some info on the products in case anyone is interested in introducing cleaner products into their routine. I know many moms out there make the switch to clean products over time, so let us jump right into Teresa’s interview and see what she has to say about Arbonne and a cleaner approach to living!
For those of you who do not know much about Arbonne, I asked Teresa if she would be able to give us some background information on the company:
Arbonne is a health and wellness company focusing on a holistic approach of the whole body to flourish from the inside out. They focus on the connection of the mind, body, and skin. They have been around for over 40 years and since they started, they have always been 100% Vegan and Cruelty Free. Arbonne is also now certified gluten free, Vegan, Kosher, and non-GMO.

I know that we all have personal reasons on why we want to switch out to using cleaner products in our life. As I mentioned earlier, I gained an interest in using cleaner products even before having my son, but really made the switch once he was here. I wanted Teresa to explain why she made the switch to using cleaner products throughout her daily routines:
I was first introduced to Arbonne through the 30 Day to Healthy Living Nutrition program. After completing the program, I was AMAZED by how great I felt. I lost weight, my skin cleared up, I had more energy, I was sleeping better. I was really surprised how eating more clean, organic food really changed so much for me.
After doing the nutrition program, I started learning more about clean products and what was “allowed” by the US vs Arbonne. The US is required to only ban 11 ingredients (but when I heard Arbonne banned over 2000. I really thought about what I was using on my skin (skincare and make up) and decided to try the skin care to see if it made a difference. There was a 45-day money back guarantee and I figured I didn’t have anything to lose. From the first few days I used it, I was hooked! I always had super hormonal skin, but I finally found something that worked for me. I realized clean products really did make a difference!
Since switching to cleaner products in 2019, I switched out my lotions, shampoos, hand soaps, body wash, toothpaste, just to name a few.
Regarding Arbonne’s products, I asked Teresa to share what her favorite products are:
My number one favorite product that I cannot go a day without is our EnergyFizz Ginseng Fizz Sticks. I used to spend so much money on coffee and these completely replaced it for me. It’s a boost of energy without the jitters or the crash. I noticed my teeth are whiter from not being coffee stained anymore. And honestly, they just taste so good and are so refreshing.
There are so many other products that I love–AgeWell Skincare, the sports line for my workouts, pea protein–these are just a few of what I use EVERYDAY, but I would probably say my number 2 product would probably be our mascara! This was the one product I was probably the most worried about switching but 2 coats and my eyes look great!! The entire make up line is beautiful! I recently used it all for our engagement pictures. It honestly wears so well!
I started to really think about the types of products I was using on my son since having him. For moms who are looking for a switch to cleaner products for their children, Teresa offers these recommendations from Arbonne:
Arbonne honestly has something for EVERYONE! For Moms with little ones, we have an ABC BabyCare collection. The collection includes Hair and Body Wash, SPF 30 sunscreen, Diaper Rash Cream and Body Lotion. They can be purchased individually or as a set. The products are tested by pediatricians, dermatologists, and parents to meet the Certified Arbonne Clean standards, along with our strict ingredient policy. I know I have seen a lot about babies/kids having bad reactions to sunscreens. I feel like clean sunscreen is one product that so many moms are looking for. It’s a great product and a little bit goes a long way!
In our Holiday Collection we always do a kid’s product with a shampoo which I have used myself and, on my dog, Penny, because they are safe, clean products! My fiancé Mike, who has very fair skin also uses the SPF sunscreen. So, although it is part of our Kids line, it can really be used for anyone!
Other moms on our team give their kids our FeelFit PeaProtein Snack Bars and even our FeelFit PeaProtein Shakes.
The cool thing about clean products and Arbonne is that there really is something for everyone. Teresa shares some info on what products she thinks are great to start with if you are thinking about making the switch:
I think my first recommendation would be to try out our skincare line. I’m not a mom but many of my friends who have kids, I see how they spend so much of their time focusing on their families. If you can give yourself a few minutes of “Me Time”, pamper yourself with an anti-aging skincare. We all (try to at least) wash our faces everyday so give yourself a mini spa! Our AgeWell is made with Bakuchiol and not retinol which is a HUGE move in an anti-aging skincare line!
Moms are so selfless that spending money on somethings for them isn’t always easy. So, if that’s the hold up, I would suggest the 30 Day to Healthy Living Program. We give you a shopping list and recipes, many of which I see families eating. Therefore, you are not just doing it for you, but your families too!! Plus, if you get some more energy from fueling your body with clean products, it’s a win for your families too!
I realize that with social media that we become used to seeing advertisement for so many different types of clean brands that are out there and available to us. I asked Teresa what makes Arbonne stand out amongst other clean product brands:
I mentioned earlier about Arbonne being a Certified B Corp which really sets us apart but that isn’t the only thing. Another cool thing Arbonne has is ArbonneCycle–it is a partnership with TerraCycle to support recycling. Although our products can be recycled in normal recycling programs there are some tougher to recycle products (lids, pumps on products, etc.). ArbonneCycle ensures these hard to recycle don’t get missed. You go to Arbonne’s website, print out the shipping label and ship it back to Arbonne to recycle to help reduce the carbon footprint!
I think that there are many reasons why we could all benefit from switching to cleaner product use. I asked Teresa what her opinion was on this matter:
I think switching to clean products is something small everyone can do to make a larger impact. There are so many times we do not think about what we are putting in our bodies and on our skin. When we really think about it, it can be scary. I think about wanting to have a family one day and I really believe that by switching to cleaner, safer, products, it’s something I can do to possibly help me with this!
I also think we all want what is best for the world. We want a beautiful planet for our families to live, grow, play, and thrive in. When you switch to cleaner products you are doing your part in this! I think it’s really important to look at companies and what they do for others and the planet. And I love what Arbonne does!
In closing the interview, I asked Teresa if there was anything else that she would like to cover and she leaves us with these closing thoughts:
